Deputy Production Editorial Manager, Academic Publisher, Oxford

 

We have three fantastic opportunities for those with strong books production editorial experience interested in a new challenge to join our client, based in Oxfordshire, as a Deputy Production Editorial Manager.

 

Reporting to the Production Editorial Manager, these positions will be based with the books division for a world renowned academic publisher. Key responsibilities will include: managing the production of new titles, briefing and supporting suppliers as well as authors, ensuring projects are completed to schedule and on budget and liaising with freelancers, printers and designers.

 

As Deputy Production Editorial Manager, you will also have the chance to provide managerial support to the Production Editorial Manager by helping to recruit, train and oversee new staff members, assist with the allocation of work and acting as a point of contact in the absence of the manager, as required.

 

The successful candidates for this role will be highly organised and with strong attention to detail as well as extensive experience in academic production editorial. Being able to work on your own initiative as part of a larger team and have excellent time management skills is essential.
