Designer - 6 Month Contract

Are you an innovative and creative designer with proven experience designing highly commercial book covers? I have a 6 month contract opportunity for a designer keen to work on adult titles at a leading, commercial, independent publishing house. This role involves jacket and cover design, text design, layout and setting and occasional design for sales, marketing and publicity material.

The successful candidate will have extensive previous experience of mass-market or highly commercial book cover and layout design, experience of briefing and commissioning freelance designers and illustrators, great Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop skills, experience of working to tight and budgets and producing creative ideas and visuals from editors' briefs.
