Development Editor (Adult ELT)

Our client, a leading Educational publisher based in central London, is looking for an experienced Development Editor. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the ELT international adults list.

 

Key duties:

  • Oversee the content development and creation of online products for the adult ELT market
  • Work with authors and commissioning editors to ensure products are suitable for market requirements
  • Liaise with in-house project teams and freelancers to deliver material on time and to budget
  • Ensure all company guidelines and best practice procedures are met
  • Identify new authors and keep up-to-date with current market knowledge

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Knowledge of ELT teaching and learning contexts is essential
  • Proven content development experience within ELT or educational book publishing
  • Experience of managing complex projects, on time and to budget
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail
  • An understanding of digital workflows and processes
  • Experience of managing authors and freelancers
