Digital Development Editors

Our client, a leading educational provider, is looking for experienced Development Editors to join them working on online and print learning materials. Based in the South East and commutable from Oxford, London or Reading, this is an exciting opportunity to take a lead in developing a range of digital educational products. They have a number of permanent and contract vacancies available.

 

Key duties:

  • Analyse and interpret curriculum design models and develop suitable elearning solutions
  • Develop digital and print educational resources, including online, books and ebooks
  • Support planning, scheduling and budgeting of projects
  • Advise colleagues on effective use of media to deliver learning outcomes and excellent user experience
  • Work closely with academic authors and assess first drafts of material
  • Identify and exploit opportunities for digital repurposing of existing products

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Established experience as a development editor working on online/digital products
  • Proven knowledge of the higher education sector and developments in online learning
  • An understanding of instructional/learning design principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with academic authors
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience of using XML editing software and workflows and CMS is highly desirable
