Digital Operations Manager - 12-14 month FTC

A leading Global Academic Publishing company has asked Think Selection to find a Digital Operations Manager to join their team on 12 month maternity cover contract.

The Digital Operations Manager acts as the technical lead for the Sales Department, overseeing the development and execution of the operational and metadata strategies for the company’s UK print, ebook, and audio offerings.

You’ll provide direction on both current and future business processes and operational decisions for the company’s global book portfolio. Additionally, you’ll manage the operational partnership with key print and eBook clients.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead key initiatives and projects to support the Books teams
• Make and communicate operational and metadata decisions, ensuring practical implementation
• Develop best practices for metadata, prioritizing objectives in collaboration with cross-departmental teams
• Act as product owner for system enhancements and integrations; identify risks and business needs
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external consultants to enhance data management practices
• Champion data governance, drive improvements and influence stakeholders
• Operationally manage a major online account for print and eBooks, ensuring product availability and discoverability
• Oversee the Print on Demand program and advertising budget with a major online retailer
• Guide sales and marketing colleagues to optimise advertising campaigns and establish best practices.
