Digital Producer - Educational

 

We currently have an interesting opportunity to work for a leading global educational publishing company as a Digital Producer (Production).  Based in the Learning Services, Operations Delivery team and reporting to the Digital Production Manager, this role will help scope, produce and deliver digital products and services (ranging from low to high complexity in nature), to customers in the UK & Ireland, Europe, MEAC and South Africa regions.  You will project manage adopted and tailored digitally smart, user-friendly solutions that improve learning outcomes and meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities will involve managing the production and delivery of a number of bespoke digital projects with competing priorities, in order to produce high quality products on time and to budget.

 

The Digital Producer will be responsible for the production and management of your own projects, including QA and risk mitigation.  You will work closely with the internal operations team, stakeholders and third parties on projects assigned, to ensure products are delivered to the highest standard on time and to budget.  You will work to tight deadlines, managing a high volume of projects of varying complexity.  The digital producer will also report regularly on the production status of projects assigned to line managers and resolve project-specific issues as they arise.

 

This is a key role within the team and the successful person will have some demonstrable experience in digital production and have an interest in and understanding of publishing, e-learning, accessibility and how context is produced digitally.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt style to work with colleagues from the UK and from other regions with varying levels of technical knowledge are essential.  An interest in online education would be useful as would be the ability to research solutions to problems and to look at different methods of achieving desired results. Experience or an understanding of the Web, HTML, CSS and Javascript would be an advantage.
