Digital Product Editor

We are currently looking for a Digital Product Editor to join the library reference department of a leading educational and academic publisher. This role is based in their North Hampshire office and involves working on a range of exciting new digital products.

Key duties:

• Work as a member of the Publishing team on a number of projects
• Be the “product owner”, responsible for supplying knowledge to wider project teams
• Investigate, quantify, and collect data on source content prior to digitisation
• Assess the content for extent and condition either in-house or at source libraries and archives
• Oversee the editorial stages of a number of electronic resources and projects
• Deal with queries, investigate issues, and reply to customers directly as required

Experience / skills required:

• Strong experience of working with digital and e-learning content is essential
• A solid understanding of metadata, XML and digital publishing is essential
• You must have experience of editing complex editorial projects
• Demonstrable competence using online library catalogues is required
• You will have excellent organisational and time management skills
• Experience of working with archival collections / experience of working in digital humanities is highly desired
• A background in/ strong interest in the humanities is highly desired
