Director of International Engagement (Sales & Marketing)

We have an exciting new role for a Director of International Engagement to join a leading awarding organisation and drive forward their sales and marketing strategy to establish their business internationally. Based in our client's Oxford office this is a fantastic opportunity for a decisive leader to make a great impact within the assessment space.

The main remit of the Director of International Engagement will be to provide clear direction and strong leadership to an integrated sales and marketing team. Responsibilities will include: lead the development and delivery of an overarching sales and marketing strategy; set goals for the sales and marketing teams; design, implement and manage sales forecasting, and oversee the planning and budgeting; provide guidance and support to the territory teams based internationally; develop expertise in qualifications, assessment; support key account and brand-building activity; standardise sales and marketing processes and build shared best practice; identify the key barriers/objections to adoption and develop strategies to overcome them; build positive and productive relationships with colleagues and teams, while continuously seek to enhance performance.

The ideal Director of International Engagement will have solid experience of developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies for global organisations along with good knowledge of the education sector and the qualifications environment. This positive leader will have the capacity to translate a vision and strategy into achievable goals and a track record of successfully recruiting, developing, leading, motivating and retaining a large, high performing field-based team of both sales and marketing professionals. Having a strong profile and wide network within the International School sector is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be comfortable travelling extensively (during term time, an expectation of two weeks travel per month).
