Director Library Sales Strategy - APAC

Our client, a leading global academic and professional content provider, is looking to recruit a Director of Sales Strategy for Libraries across the APAC region. 

Reporting to the VP Sales the Director of Library Sales Strategy will lead and provide guidance on the strategic direction of APAC sales strategies for library customers with the following main responsibilities;

 

  • identify new global and local strategic opportunities
  • provide input and taking direction during the planning process
  • manage the governance of sales activities into the Library sector
  • encourage innovation across all sales groups
  • work in collaboration with marketing and territory sales leaders
  • implement customer/ territory planning initiatives
  • participate in business case planning
  • participate in the execution of key library customer negotiations
  • maintain a deep understanding of the Library sector
  • implement an effective proposals process
  • regular travel will be required

 

The ideal candidate should possess previous senior sales management experience as well as a deep understanding of the library market. A good level of numeracy is essential, as is a strong financial acumen and the ability to inspire teams. Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative to the role and as such strong creativity, initiative and self-organisation are needed.
