Digital Operations Development Manager

Do you want to play a key role in shaping the future of digital operations at DK and be responsible for delivering the best experience for both the internal business and customers?  If so, keep reading...

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Operations Development Manager to join DK to deliver technical solutions and workflow changes that maintain and improve the data flow between DK’s publishing systems globally and external data recipients.  Working as part of the Digital Supply Chain team, it will be up to this person to develop and configure our publishing systems to ensure we have a robust and efficient digital supply chain for metadata and digital products (ebook and audio).

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Overseeing the technical implementation of new pricing requirements (e.g. new business models, currencies) based on DK's digital contracts with ebook & audio retailers
  • Identifying new processes that support better management of digital pricing to then implement them in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business
  • Project managing work that streamlines and improves DK's ebook & audio supply chain and acting as the technical lead for this area of the business
  • Acting as the first point of contact for SAP (for both the UK & US business), for bibliographic data, and owning the delivery of solutions for existing manual workarounds, live issues or new requirements
  • Systems experience of Biblio, SAP and CoreSource is desirable but not essential

We’re looking for someone with a commercial and strategic outlook who is experienced in process and workflow creation, and management (including documenting them) for bibliographic data with a particular focus on pricing.  An in depth knowledge of the digital landscape in the UK and US: business models, customers and industry best practice for the delivery of digital products is also important.  Working with a variety of people throughout the business and delivering training/presenting to colleagues at all levels, our ideal candidate will be an effective and confident communicator who can influence and bring people on board.  Working on multiple projects at any one time will require a highly flexible and organised person who can manage their time efficiently and prioritise tasks.

To apply for this position, please submit your most recent CV and cover letter.

Closing date for applications: Friday 2nd July.
