Document Editor and Process Assistant

We have an opportunity to join a leading medical society in central London as a Document Editor and Process Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract. For this role, we are looking for someone with fantastic editorial skills, particularly with regards to copyediting and proof-reading long complex documents.

Reporting to the Project Managers, you will be responsible primarily for providing editorial support as well as other related tasks to assistant their projects. This will include:

  • Formatting of papers
  • Proof-reading for grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Applying for copyright permissions
  • Taking minutes for meetings
  • Filing and paperwork
  • Other ad hoc tasks

The ideal candidate for this role will have proven editorial experience as well as strong administration skills. You will also be a fantastic communicator and able to build strong relationships with colleagues as well as external contacts. A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills will also be essential to assist you in completing tasks before deadlines and to the highest quality level.
