Production Assistant || Academic

A leading international academic publishing company based in Oxfordshire, currently have a vacancy for a Production Assistant within its Global Production Operations Team. The prime focus of the role will be to manage the eBooks distribution process, which allows the business to make their titles available across the globe through numerous internal and external channels throughout the lifecycle of the book.

Key responsibilities include distributing content and metadata to third parties and channels through the distribution system, liaising with channels to resolve issues, and ensuring our systems and internal reports are kept up to date. You would also be responsible for managing the eBooks metadata on the production database and other internal systems. Responsibilities also include assisting the larger eBook production and Inventory teams as required.

The successful applicant will need to have a basic understanding of Microsoft Access databases and other Microsoft Office packages, including good Excel skills. An understanding of XML and eBook formats would be an added advantage.
