Ebooks Campaign Manager

We are working with a prestigious UK-based charity publisher that works to advance research and education in the physical sciences as they are looking to appoint an Ebooks Campaign Manager on a 12-months fixed term contract.

This will be a hybrid working role with 1-2 days a week in their lovely South-West office.

The Ebooks Campaign Manager will collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Head of Content and Engagement Marketing to execute the strategic vision for the ebooks programme. They will have responsibilities over budget for ebooks campaigns and for the planning and delivery of all related marketing activities. Working on multi-channel campaigns cross social media, events, email, and many more, your goal will be to enhance content growth and visibility with a view of engaging researchers with the publisher's products and services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning and designing compelling marketing campaigns for the ebooks program
  • Performing monthly evaluations of the ebooks program and setting SMART goals that align with the publishing strategy and overall business targets
  • Executing marketing plan activities to enhance visibility, increase article usage, and engage with authors
  • Coordinating with publishing colleagues to understand product positioning and campaign needs
  • Working with the marketing operations team to ensure effective delivery of email campaigns, including providing briefs and marketing content
  • Partnering with the communications team to boost awareness, support usage and citations, and engage with authors through press releases, interviews, and news articles
  • Preparing and presenting reports and campaign analysis as required
  • Use data insights to inform and optimise campaign planning and activities.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid knowledge of marketing, with an established track record in creating and implementing marketing strategies, managing budgets, and reporting performance. Familiarity with Academic publishing is essential, although they are happy to consider candidates coming from either the books or journals side. You should excel in time management, and have the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously, and proactively seek improvements in marketing processes. Strong writing skills and the ability to convey messages effectively to diverse audiences are also important. While meeting all criteria is not necessary, demonstrating most of these skills and enthusiasm for the role is highly valued.
