Editor

Our client, a leading professional membership organisation body is looking for an Editor to join their Birmingham office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of editing professional or technical content, and knowledge of best online content practices. You will have the opportunity to work autonomously and manage your own projects and workload.

 

Key duties:

  • Edit, typeset and update content to highest standards in various formats
  • Manage online channel, creating and updating web pages using CMS
  • Liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure content is delivered on time
  • Ensure published content is readable and adheres to house-style
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with authors and colleagues

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid experience of editing and restructuring content gained in professional/technical publishing ideally
  • Knowledge of best online content practices and experience using CMS
  • Experience liaising with high profile stakeholders
  • Excellent editing, copy-editing and proofreading skills and the ability to follow house-style
  • Good project management and organisation
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe suite and HTML is an advantage
