Editor (License Publishing)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Editor to join a leading South West publisher of illustrated non-fiction, children’s, and brand titles. Working in their License Publishing team, this role will high profile licensed properties in an exciting and busy team.

 

Key duties:

  • Project manage book series and standalone titles
  • Page plan, write, edit and proof check to a high standard
  • Create material suitable for the target market
  • Liaise with licensor approvals and both in and out-of-house contributors
  • Propose new format ideas and innovative content and maintain an awareness of the market

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven experience project managing brand/children’s titles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent creative and editorial skills, including writing and proofreading
  • First-class communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
