Editor / Managing Editor

If you have proven experience in commissioning review articles across medical fields, the pharmaceutical industry or in a university research position then this could be really exciting. A leading international publisher of journals for academic, educational and professional markets is looking for a high-calibre Editor or Managing Editor to commission articles and manage a growing list of internationally peer reviewed medical journals.

In this role you will be working with internal and external Editors and Peer reviewers to solicit and actively commission high-quality review articles and original research for publication in the journals. You will travel internationally to meet authors and attend conferences, and keep up to date with the hot topics in the industry. 

The ideal candidate will be well-qualified in a biomedical field, ideally with a BSc, MSc or PHD, along with a  sound understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. Strong communication skills and proven experience in medical journal publishing, medical communications, the pharmaceutical industry or in a university research position.  Commercial understanding of the journals publishing would be an advantage.
