Editor/Senior Editor (Children’s non-fiction)

A great independent children’s book publisher is looking for an Editor/Senior Editor to join them on a 9-12month FTC basis. This is a great opportunity for a non-fiction children’s editor to join a very productive editorial team and work on a range of non-fiction, activity and picture books. This role would start (and may continue to be) working from home.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop new ideas to proposal stage and manage projects through the publishing process
• Edit content and arrange layouts so the books are visually appealing and well balanced
• Commission and work closely with editors and artists
• Contribute to new ideas and brainstorm new titles

What you’ll have:

• Established editorial experience with children’s non-fiction or a combination of fiction and non-fiction books
• Good knowledge of editing in InDesign and ability to think visually
• Ability to work independently and collaborate well with a team
