Editor, STM Publishing, North West
A leading publisher of medical educational products for the healthcare sector is now seeking an Editor to join their busy team in managing and developing a list of journal titles and related products based in the North West.
Key responsibilities will include:
• See through journal manuscripts from submission through to online publication including through Editorial Manager
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the editorial board through networking at International events and conferences
• Through networking and delivering high quality content develop the reputation, impact factor, readership and subscriber base for the journal
• Work with the Editorial Director to ensure the journal is published on schedule, budget and to a high quality
• Actively commission new content and see commissioned articles through to production
• Attend International events and conferences in order to develop new business and build and maintain contacts and relationships within the medical secor
The ideal candidate will have a strong life science background with demonstrable experience within the pharmaceutical and publishing industry. The Editor will have a good understanding of drug development and product lifecycles as well as the ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines. This candidate will be proactive, organised and highly personable with the ability to build strong relationships with contacts globally as well as work collaboratively with colleagues based in the office.
