Editorial Manager

Editorial Manager, Berkshire - A leading specialist educational publisher developing high-quality ELT materials to meet the needs of schools and universities in the international marketplace, is looking to appoint an experienced publishing professional to the position of Editorial Manager. The successful candidate will have demonstrable editorial project management experience and will be able to ensure that resources and projects are completed on time to the highest possible standards.

Managing a team of editors, overseeing their work and training, you will balance your own project management and will also collaborate with colleagues in marketing and design. You will also be responsible for the management of a number of freelance staff and will have demonstrable team management experience. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of ELT publishing, possibly with some experience of teaching overseas and will quickly get to grips with the company’s titles and keep abreast of developments in this field.

You will also have the opportunity for occasional travel to relevant bookfairs as well as consultancy and/or promotional events overseas. You will have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, a collaborative style of working with colleagues and a strong interest in educational and ELT publishing.
