Editorial Manager ELT - maternity contract

Maternity contract – Editorial Manager ELT. An internationally successful educational publisher, based in Hampshire, is seeking to fill this maternity contract (12 months) with an Editorial Manager who can demonstrate good experience in the publishing of materials for schools, colleges and universities across EMEA territories.

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks across a number of publishing projects including editorial freelance management, systems management and scheduling.

Working with the Publisher, Sales Managers and the development team, you will be involved in determining ELT market requirements and will support in the planning for long term development of the ELT list.

Working closely with the production team, you will ensure that new product is appropriate and that any changes to design and format are communicated at an early stage.

Key requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of publishing project management (both print and digital).
• Knowledge of editorial, design and production process
• Experience of managing multi-component complex ELT publishing projects.
• Experience of managing a mix of in-house staff and freelance suppliers.

You will have excellent written and oral communications skills; a keen eye for detail; good analytical and problem solving skills in addition to being a real team player.
