Editorial/Online Learning Solutions Specialist - Greece

A leading, global publisher and online learning organisation is looking to recruit a Learning Solutions and Content Specialist to joint their EMEA team, based in the company`s Greek office in Athens.

The role of the Learning Solutions Specialist will be to develop and oversee profitable and successful new products in line with agreed digital strategy for all higher education disciplines and specific markets in the EMEA region.

Reporting to the Content and Product Manager, this role will be responsible for working with the content management team, including subject matter experts and Learning Solutions Managers, to determine content and project requirements and to understand the target audience`s interaction with the end product.  This role will also develop and oversee profitable and successful new products in line with agreed digital strategy for all higher education disciplines and specific markets in the EMEA region.

Responsibilities of the Learning Solutions Specialist will include: working with professors, course coordinators and subject matter experts, to develop courses, help define learning outcomes and deliver content for these outcomes.  You will work with vendors to ensure delivery of all digital components and commission and develop new content in line with market strategy, customer requirements and within the required financial and time parameters, that may include print formats and in both English or local language.

Other duties will involve liaising with sales and marketing teams to develop briefs on individual projects and confirm forecasts.  It is important that you are a strong team player both within editorial and within the higher education group as a whole.  There will be travel when required, to meetings with customers, to gain first-hand feedback and understanding of requirements.

The successful person will be educated to degree level and will have a proven editorial track record, ideally from an academic or educational/textbook publishing background. You will have experience of briefing subject matter experts in order to deliver high quality educational content and you will be confident in using a range of digital tools with a demonstrable interest in digital learning within the educational sector.  You will have a strong commercial instinct and the ability to work both within a team and independently. Experience of managing a large number of projects simultaneously is essential.
