Editorial Programme Manager

 

Our client, a global educational publisher is looking for an Editorial Programme Manager to join the Higher Education department and help shape their digital product strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with commissioning experience within the educational/academic publishing sector. This a permanent role based in London.

 

Key duties:

  • Propose and implement a commercially successful digital strategy
  • Drive the transition of the department to a digital product focus
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, and the wider Editorial teams
  • Research and analyse the Higher Education market in order to source and develop successful products
  • Foster and develop a network of contacts to promote content acquisition

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Prior commissioning experience within the publishing is essential, ideally in the educational sector
  • Proven experience working with digital products, understanding the digital trends and opportunities
  • Good knowledge and commercial awareness of the educational market
  • Excellent oral, written communication and negotiation skills
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent
