Education Sales Consultant

An award-winning, innovative educational publisher is looking for a Sales Consultant to generate new leads with a view to promoting and selling their Primary School literacy resources. This is a home-based, term-time only role, working 1 day per week on a 12 month fixed-term contract, starting May/June 2020.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the ideal Sales Consultant will be well located so as to cover the South East and Midlands territory. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a huge impact on the business growth of a highly prestigious educational publisher focused on the UK Primary schools market. You will use your extensive network within the education sector, including MAT schools, and solid understanding of teacher and learner needs to open doors, and source and uncover sales leads in schools. You will seek out key decision makers and stakeholders and work collaboratively with teachers and other education professionals to gain an in-depth understanding of current teaching practices in order to establish and build strong partnerships.

Key skills and experience required:

• Knowledge of the UK Primary education market
• Driven, proactive and highly self-motivated
• Able to work on own initiative
• Proven consultative sales, presentation, and networking skills
• Computer literate
