ELT Editorial Manager (maternity cover)

Are you an experienced editorial manager looking for a new project? A leading ELT publisher based in Hampshire is looking for you. You will be working on a range of ELT materials for schools, colleges and universities across Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This is a maternity cover contract.

Key duties:

• Support in planning the long-term development of the ELT list
• Hire external project managers and freelance editors as necessary
• Work with the Publisher and Commissioning Editors on a range of projects
• Create detailed workflow schedules for a range of ELT projects
• Create and review budgets for each project
• Work closely with the production and editorial teams to bring projects in on time and to budget

Experience / skills required:

• Extensive knowledge of publishing project management is essential
• You must be comfortable working on both print and digital product
• Prior experience of managing multi-component complex ELT publishing projects is essential
• Experience of managing a mix of in-house staff and freelance suppliers is required
• You will be skilled at dealing with customers, both internally and externally
• You must have good written and oral communication skills
• The ability to work calmly in a sometimes high pressure environment is required
