ELT Senior Editor (Cairo)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ELT Senior Editor to join a highly reputable educational publisher based in Cairo. Working closely with the Publishing Manager, you will help to support the current ELT publishing strategy. The role will start as a two year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.

 

Key duties:

  • Support the Publishing Manager and work with the editorial team, help manage junior members
  • Responsible for project planning and scheduling
  • Oversee content and organise internal and external editorial resourcing
  • Work closely with the UK office and other international offices as required
  • Attend external committee meetings, company-led teacher training sessions and focus groups
  • Work with the Publishing Manager at all times to realise and fulfil the current publishing strategy

 Experience / skills required:

  • Proven project management experience of multi-component courses within ELT Educational publishing
  • An ELT teaching qualification and experience of teaching English as a foreign language
  • A degree or equivalent in English or Modern Languages from a UK university
  • Experience of representing the company on committees or with external clients
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A willingness to relocate and a genuine interest in the Arab world
