Permissions Manager

The Faber Rights Team is looking to recruit a Permissions Manager to manage all permissions requests and some subrights deals on behalf of Faber, ensuring high levels of author and estate care. This is a central role in the Faber Rights department, suited to someone with relevant publishing experience, an appreciation of the responsibility involved in managing these subrights, and an interest in the wide range of authors published by Faber and in how our sublicensing activities encourage a broader appreciation of their works.

You will be responsible for all Permissions requests received by Faber, and will also handle musical setting requests, fair dealing requests, performance rights, broadcast rights and management of the copyright infringement portal.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the permissions application process and publishing contracts and legal matters, including copyright matters. Experience of managing websites and databases would be desirable and excellent negotiation and problem solving skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be good at working to deadlines, and maintaining high standards of work, will be used to financial accountability and working autonomously, whilst being a key member of the dynamic Faber Rights team.

The position reports to the Rights Director and is full time. The role is based in our office in central London although we are currently working remotely. We are open to discussing where the role is based for the majority of the time for the right applicant.

Salary is £36,000 - £41,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
