Features Writer

Calling all tech-savvy Features Writers! We are very excited to be working for a leading creative agency and publishing house, who work with global organisations, and specialise in content creation, design and digital marketing and who publish market leading magazines, focusing on a range of technical topics, including broadcast and media technology.  This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work in the Cambridgeshire office 2-3 days a week or once a week/fortnight.

Our client is looking for a switched on, proactive individual to work on two of their most dynamic titles as a Features Writer, focusing on a range of subject areas including AV, streaming, social media, esports, sports media, AI, sound technology and cybersecurity to name a few. You will research, write and edit engaging feature articles covering a range of topics, from emerging broadcast equipment and workflows to the impact of transformative technologies.

No two days will be the same, as you could be researching an article on future tech trends, interviewing the CEO of a new start-up, attending conferences both in the UK and internationally, or talking to commercial clients to help promote new products and services. This is a diverse, fast-paced and rewarding role that demands engaging copy to be created on often complex subjects.

Who are we looking for?

You will be a writer with at least one year’s experience, ideally on publications in the tech sector, or B2B media space, with a track record of delivering high-quality, well-researched content.   You’ll need to be a fast learner with great communication skills along with an enquiring mind to research articles and contribute new feature ideas. Being an organised team player with excellent time management skills are also a pre-requisite for this role. You will be a creative writer who has a magazine mentality and fundamentally understands how magazines are put together, plus the ability to come up with great ideas for content.  You will be a confident networker as you will be travelling to conferences to source new products and write about them.

If you’re ready to put your tech-savvy features writing expertise to work, we’d love to hear from you. For further information please send your CV and a short cover note to: info@redwoodrecruitment.com
