Field Sales Representative, Higher Education, London & Southern England

A leading academic publisher based in Central London is looking to appoint a Sales Representative to work on promoting their books and electronic products to university lecturers and retail outlets across London and Southern England. This role will involve campus calling, gathering market feedback and working toward securing adoptions and maximising sales.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be capable of effectively and efficiently feeding information back to editorial and marketing teams. They will enjoy meeting people and building relationships, and be organised and self-motivated with an enthusiasm for sales and working toward targets. They will be expected to attend book fairs and conferences and be good networkers with a market awareness and a drive to monitor and understand industry changes.

The ideal applicant will have proven sales and negotiation skills and be willing to be creative and innovative in the role. Experience in sales in the publishing sector is an advantage but not essential, but an interest in academic publishing would be beneficial to the role. A clean driving licence is essential.
