Foreign Rights Sales Assistant

My client is looking to recruit a hardworking, diligent, organised, efficient and friendly Foreign Rights Sales Assistant to support the Foreign Rights Sales team. As Foreign Rights Sales Assistant you will be responsible for a range of duties including; attending the weekly production meeting to progress chase titles, confirming shipping requirements and updating them as necessary, obtaining print order confirmations, managing point of sale orders, sending of materials to clients, organising Executives meetings and travel for sales trips, shows and client meetings, raising contracts and invoices, provide translations, researching new sales opportunities and occasionally helping with marketing.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or the equivalent with a demonstrable interest in the rights area in publishing. Foreign languages skills would be advantageous, particularly Spanish, French, Chinese or Japanese. You must have a very accurate eye for detail with a 'can-do' attitude and excellent communication, organizational, administrative and IT skills. There will also be the chance to undertake some overseas travel to accompany the Director on trips so a love of travelling is essential too!
