Freelance Bookkeeper (Part time)

A friendly publisher based in North London is looking for a freelance part time bookkeeper, you will be required to work 3 days per month but with extra days required to prepare annual accounts.  

Key duties:

  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards

  • Posting invoices to the purchase ledger

  • Preparing and posting month-end journals

  • Performing VAT reconciliations

  • Conducting periodic reconciliations of all accounts on sales and purchase ledgers

  • Issuing financial statements on a regular planned basis

  • Paying suppliers and email remittance advices

  • Monthly petty cash entries and reconciliations

  • General finance clerical tasks

Experience / skills required:

  • Must have solid experience in an accounting capacity with foreign currencies

  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work accurately, under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Previously knowledge of AccountEdge or MYOB would be an advantage

  • Strong MS Office skills and excellent MS Excel skills
