Front of House Office Manager

A leading trade publisher is looking for a Front of House Office Manager for their London office. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the company’s front of house including reception, the office. This is a temp role starting on 6 June until 20 June with possible extensions. You must also be available for a training day on Tuesday 31 May.

Key duties:

  • Meet and greet visitors

  • Answer telephone calls and use switchboard

  • Manage post room

  • Liaise with the building management and suppliers

  • Control supply of stationery

  • Keep meeting rooms and equipment in a ready state at all times

  • Arrange catering for internal company events/lunch meetings

  • Assist in the set-up of meeting rooms for author signings

  • Supervise incoming and outgoing post/ book couriers and taxis

  • Maintain Health and Safety records

  • Assist with travel arrangements and bookings for staff, including travel tickets and accommodation

     

     

Experience / skills required:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with excellent telephone manner

  • Excellent Customer service skills with immaculate professional personal appearance

  • Organised with the ability to multi task and ability to manage irregular workload

  • Proactive with the ability to use own initiative

  • Demonstrable working knowledge and use of switchboards

  • Ability effectively under pressure in a busy and demanding office environment

  • Good Microsoft package skills
