Global Account Manager

Our client, a leading academic publisher, requires a Global Account Manager for their Reprints business.

Under the guidance of Reprints Sales Manager this role is responsible for achieving revenue targets through the global account management of a set list of pharmaceutical accounts, including multinationals, and to contribute to the global Reprints target and the on-going journals strategy plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets for reprint sales by sourcing, pitching and meeting with brand managers with relevant company content across account list
  • Network accounts to generate sales at European and Global level
  • Warm call new prospects and maintain relationships with previous customers for upsell opportunities
  • Keep appraised of industry developments and publications within your account list
  • Contribute fully to the objectives of your Division and achieve the personal objectives set by your manager
  • Develop relationships with and meet with pharmaceutical publication managers and medical communication agencies to encourage content submissions to our journals
  • Attend conferences where necessary
  • Pitch and meet with pharmaceutical publication managers and medical communication agencies to solicit manuscript submissions
  • Work with editorial teams to expand relationships with pharma and present the most appropriate solutions to clients

Skills & Experience:

  • B2B sales, with experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Cold-calling
  • Negotiation
  • Use of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of medical publishing preferred but not necessary
  • Delivering results and improvement
  • Teamwork and building relationships
  • Maintaining account plans and pipeline
