Group Director

Our client, a market leading international illustrated trade publishing group, seeks a talented Group Director to oversee all publishing, creative, sales, marketing, operations and finance and help shape the long term future strategy of the business.

Reporting to the main board, you’ll oversee all UK & International heads who will report to you.

The Group Director will need to have an entrepreneurial approach to running a trade publishing house and also have super communication and interpersonal skills, and importantly have a proven success track record of successfully running a commercial publishing business.

We are looking for talented entrepreneurial candidates who are very commercial minded who possess that rare combination of publishing experience and skillset in publishing illustrated consumer books, sales and marketing, operations along with a good understanding of the publishing process.

This is a key main board appointment and the remit of the role will be create a plan to grow the UK & international business and develop long-term successful strategies to fully exploit the publisher’s considerable content and properties and develop new business opportunities.

The publisher successfully operates in all world book markets and the UK publisher is part of a worldwide group.
