Head of Business Development and Advertising Sales – China

A leading scientific publisher based in China has a really unique opportunity for a Senior Business Developer to join its company to head up the Business Development and Sales across all media including sponsorship, advertising, classified, online, banner.  You will ideally have worked previously for a scientific publisher or scientific communications agency.  You must understand the client base and key contacts within the territory.  In return the role will offer you a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

You will be able to demonstrate experience of the following:

 

Strong commercial drive alongside proven experience in maximising revenue potential, business development, meeting and exceeding targets

A thorough understanding of the scientific research community and its needs and aspirations

Positive ability to develop long-term professional relationships with key members of the scientific community

Highly self-motivated, resourceful and achievement oriented

A creative approach to strategic planning and problem-solving

Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, able to influence others

The ability to lead and inspire a team

Attention to detail in anticipating and ensuring that key aspects of performance and of new initiatives proceed as they should.

Ability to combine a consultative approach towards editorial and commercial stakeholders with decisiveness in implementation.

Ability to work to deadlines and fulfil projects from conception to delivery

Strong financial reporting and budgeting experience

English and Mandarin written and verbal communication skills
