Head of Curation

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an analytical and consumer-focused "Head of Curation" to join an innovative and fast-growing EdTech subscription company based in London. As Head of Curation you will join an ambitious and passionate team, and play a key role in the company's growth strategy and future success through ensuring that readers are engaged, by helping them to find the best digital books available for their learning. Responsibilities include:
·To use in-house data and external research to understand which topics, subjects or skills are most in demand to guide the curation strategy.
·To identify, contact and work with topic-leading experts to create reading lists in the identified topics.
·To flag noteworthy books to be surfaced in algorithmic recommendations, based on market research, conversations with stakeholders and third-party data.
·To pick weekly and monthly reads to be featured in various pages, newsletter and social media channels.
·To identify popular books and help readers make their choice by writing well-informed reviews.
·To track and measure reading-list popularity, book engagement and other key reading metrics.
·To be responsible for which content is promoted to the user-base.

As Head of Curation, the successful candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent written and verbal communication, and have a deep interest and curiosity for books and reader engagement. You will be highly analytical with data-led thinking, communicated simply, along with a can-do, positive attitude that leads you to effectively talk about different subject areas whilst motivate subject-matter experts to help you curate a winning library. This could be an excellent opportunity for someone already working in publishing, EdTech, digital learning or a related industry and might suit someone with experience of, or interest in, consumer insight, marketing or data and analytics.
