Head of Production
Are you eagerly planning your next walking or mountain holiday? Passionate about cycling? Are you also an experienced book production professional? We have the perfect role for you. An award-winning special interest publisher based in the North-West is looking for a new Head of Production to oversee their busy production and design function.
Key duties:
- Lead the Production and Design team
- Schedule work into and through the production process
- Manage both print and digital workflows
- Take responsibility for quality and timeliness of production
- Work with authors to scope and define mapping and illustration projects
- Control and monitor production costs
- Work closely with the Managing Director and other colleagues to develop and implement new strategies, workflows and formats
Experience / skills required:
- You must have solid book production experience
- Experience with an XML/digital workflow is strongly preferred for this role
- You will be comfortable using Adobe Creative Cloud, and other industry standard software
- You must be comfortable working on a large volume of projects
- You will have experience producing both print and digital products and managing workflows for ease of delivery
- A genuine passion for the great outdoors is highly preferred
- You will be a genuine team-player able to manage an experienced team and contribute to leading new developments
