Head of UK Sales (12 month contract)
This Head of UK Sales vacancy is an exciting opportunity for a senior key accounts sales professional to gain experience with a leading independent trade publisher in London. The position is to cover a 12 month maternity contract, ideally to start in February 2015.
Key duties:
- Manage a range of accounts to sell adult and children’s front- and backlist titles
- Attend sales meetings and maintain relationships with key strategic customers
- Identify and research new opportunities and competitor activity to drive new business
- Plan and agree financial targets and ensure agreed targets are met
Experience / skills required:
- Established experience selling into key accounts at a senior level within UK trade book publishing
- Experience in UK Special Sales or selling into non-traditional channels would be highly advantageous
- Excellent sales skills and ability to establish strong relationships with multiple contacts
- First-class presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial awareness and a results orientated approach
