Digital Publishing Specialist

The Procedural Publishing Unit have a great developmental role for you to develop on your existing understanding of  either XML or JSON ; ability to write scripts (in languages such as Python or JavaScript) and using Adobe InDesign (or similar).

The Role 

This role is part of a team providing high-quality publishing services to parliament (especially the House of Commons chamber). This specialist role provides publishing expertise within the team, supporting colleagues who use workflows involving HTML, CSS, XML / XSLT, Python, and publishing products from Adobe, etc. The post holder will propose new projects and work on existing projects aimed at further automating and improving the quality and efficiency of publishing workflows. You will research and advise on best practice, propose changes, produce demonstrations, and, ultimately, train colleagues on improvements to workflows. Training will be provided, where necessary.
