HR Director

Our client, a global publisher, requires a HR Director that will help develop and maintain H.R processes that will support the company’s strategic goals. This is a high profile role within the organisation, managing a team of 13 full time employees.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Management services

To provide services that ensure HR team members deliver and continuously improves its capabilities in areas of :

  • Hiring and retention processes.
  • Talent management.
  • Training and Development.
  • Employee Relations.
  • Performance Management.
  • To assist in development and implementation of cost effective high quality and competitive practices in these areas working with the respective Heads of.
  • Delivery of HR projects in line with agreed targets.

HR Business Partnering

To provide HR advisory services to the business and work closely with the VP HR for Education to ensure high quality and effective HR are provided.

Change Management

  • To provide HR services in the areas of people management and organizational development.
  • To facilitate organizational change processes across the UK businesses.
  • To implement and execute organizational changes with leadership from VP HR including compliance with legal frameworks.
  • To assist in driving HR related cost savings.

HR Team

  • To positively impact the development of the HR Managers/ Advisors and Administrators (13 FTE) in the UK through effective communication, coaching and mentoring of the HR team for their personal growth and career development.
  • With the HR team to develop and maintain high quality front and back office HR organisation to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.

Communication

  • To positively impact employee morale through effective HR initiatives and with the provision of opportunities for personal growth and career development for employees
  • To positively impact the UK businesses with regarding to internal communications and ensuring the co-ordination of global HR activities to ensure that are locally appropriate.

Skills & Experience: 

  • Minimum of a business degree/MCIPD plus strong experience of operating at HR Management level ideally gained in organizations that are fast moving, matrixed and high growth
  • Ability to manage teams of talented and developing HR professionals
  • Substantial experience working as an HR Business Partner
  • Strong track record in directing and leading change in growth businesses
  • HR approach should be based on consultancy/business partner model
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Structured and organized in working approaches
  • Pragmatic, adaptable and flexible
  • Resilient and possess tenacity in achievement of tasks
