Sales Development Executive - 6 month contract

A prestigious scientific membership association and publisher is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven candidate to join them for an initial 6 month contract. This is a new role for the team and would suit a proactive, commercially aware candidate to drive new business in an exciting and busy role. This would suit someone with previous inside sales experience.

 

Key duties:

  • Define criteria that will qualify leads as prospects
  • Seek out and qualify solid leads and feed these to sales teams
  • Research and establish the profile of the decision maker to ensure successful sales
  • Use CRM to track progress through the sales funnel
  • Report on performance regularly
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue

 

Experience / skills required:

  • A passion for selling and a proactive approach to following up leads
  • Experience in selling software ideally for the STM sector would be benefitial
  • CRM systems experience or willingness to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good problem solving abilities
  • Results driven
