International Sales Manager– Exclusive Markets (MATERNITY COVER)

Recent winner of ‘Publisher of the Year,’ Pan Macmillan is one of the largest general book publishers in the UK and is part of the Macmillan group, which operates in over 70 countries worldwide. 

The international sales team, exclusive markets, works with affiliates in North America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India. The exclusive markets group is part of a wider international team who sell the list into various territories across the globe.

We are seeking a motivated sales manager to work closely with our sister companies in South Africa and India, acting as their primary contact in the U.K. The role reports into the Head of International Sales: Exclusive Markets, and will be responsible for executing a successful strategy within those regions, driving sales on both frontlist and backlist across all imprints in print and digital. There is also an internal function within this role, working with the fiction publishing team to grow sales of their imprints across the entire international group.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and possess excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Previous sales experience is required as well as knowledge of the publishing industry. Must be capable of working effectively in a team environment.

This is an exciting and dynamic role which is integral to the reputation and ongoing success of the international sales team.

The position is based at our offices in King’s Cross, London.
