International Sales Manager, Scientific Society, Central London

A highly prestigious scientific society is now seeking an International Sales Manager to manage their commercial sales activities and build new business in the academic, government, library and corporate research sectors. This role will be based in their Central London office with significant international travel.

The International Sales Manager will be responsible for actively promoting their highly regarded journal portfolio, increasing the readership of their online content and raising the global profile of their journals amongst the academic and research community. With responsibility for the development, management and direction of sales in libraries this post will be crucial to their commercial activities in growing their subscription licensing revenue. Relationships are absolutely key and the International Sales Manager will work closely with their global agent network to actively manage and encourage them as well as the marketing and customer services teams to ensure all promotional opportunities are exploited.

The successful candidate will have proven business development and sales experience within the academic and library market with an understanding of subscription publishing. The International Sales Manager will be highly strategic with a strong commercial acumen and experience in budgeting and forecasting sales revenues and costs. Knowledge of trends within online publishing and marketing methods would be an advantage in applying for this role.
