IP Rights & Project Specialist

A leading global educational publisher is looking to appoint an IP Rights & Project Specialist to join their Intellectual Property ELT team. Based in the South East, a commutable distance from London and Cambridge, you will manage ELT rights and support special editions through to publication.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Negotiate and draft new contracts for ELT lists & negotiate audio & digital rights
  • Negotiate additional rights (e.g. audio and digital rights)
  • Review and chase contracts with publishers, authors, author estates and agents to renegotiate renewal rights for the lists
  • Handle permissions, working with the Rights Team
  • Carry out re-clearance with photo agencies and photographers
  • Manage schedules with Production

You should be able to review and negotiate contracts, write concise briefs, handle numerical data and royalty calculations and manage complex projects simultaneously. You will have a basic understanding of budgets, copyright law and the publishing process. Please get in touch asap for more details.
