Junior Designer

Nobrow / Flying Eye Books are looking for a talented Junior Designer to join our London based Publishing Company. 

Reporting to the Senior Designer, this role will involve creating innovative books across both our adult and children's illustrated fiction and non-fiction lists, tie-in product for film / tv releases, marketing materials for both our UK and US offices as well as delivering strong design that is appropriate to the list, format and target market. 

This is an exciting and interesting role for an individual and the successful person will have demonstrable and relevant design experience with strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite.  You will be a highly organised multi-tasker with the ability to handle a substantial workload, taking projects from concept to print on time and on budget. First class design skills are essential as is the ability to be creative.  Experience in children`s publishing is desirable but not essential.

Key duties:

• Design, plan and generate content for marketing materials and publications (print and digital)
• Develop and maintain image library
• Coordinating and supporting the design and production of publications
• Offering a design and production service for campaigns, including design and production of posters, leaflets, stationery, banners
• Checking and sizing images
• Managing and maintaining relationships with suppliers including printers, designers, promotional suppliers and distributors

Experience / skills required:

• Extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop and InDesign
• Experience of project management of publications
• Excellent eye for detail and design
• Highly organised and able to work to deadlines and multi task
• Experience with marketing campaigns
