Junior Editor
We have a fantastic opportunity with a medical news publisher based in London, who are looking to hire a Junior Editor to join their team. They not only publish specialist medical news, they also engage and interact with specialist medical communities via their websites, digital events, e-newsletters, live and on-demand digital education projects, printed newspapers, and social media channels. The company also organises and delivers year-round medical education via livestream and on-demand channels.
As a Junior Editor, you will be responsible for writing compelling news stories and articles for their digital outlets, as well as creating and managing the content schedule and production cycle of one or two of their key publications.
Our client is looking for someone with true journalistic spirit, who is highly motivated and who can write truly engaging stories, and produce and source medical news content. Excellent written and verbal skills will be key, and great interpersonal skills will be essential as this person will often liaise with high-profile medical professionals and industry experts. Direct interaction with industry professionals will be required so an approachable and professional manner will be essential to the role.
Our client is looking for candidates with either a Journalism degree or relevant experience as a journalist/editor in a publishing environment. Healthcare or scientific news publishing would be a huge bonus.
