Junior Editor

Our client, an innovative, independent Academic/Trade publishing house based in central London is looking for a Junior Editor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for humanities and social sciences to progress within their editorial career in publishing.

 

Your role would comprise a variety of responsibilities including acquisitions, development and editorial project management, working in selected areas across its scholarly, education and professional lists. Your responsibilities will include –

 

  • Independent commissioning across a number of subject areas
  • Acquisitions support to the Publisher
  • Editorial project management from point of contract to final publication
  • Close author and peer reviewer liaison

 

If you are a self-motivated, proactive and strong communicator with commercial awareness and a solid understanding of academic publishing, then we are looking for you! Ideally you will be a collaborative team-player with a good understanding of the academic peer review process, the academic publishing production process as well as some experience of acquisitions.
