Junior Editor (Educational, Middle East)

This is an exciting opportunity for two outstanding graduates to join a highly reputable educational publisher, working in their Lebanon office outside of Beirut, editing text books for the Middle East schools market for a minimum two year contract.  You will be responsible for working on the ELT list.

Key duties:

  • Working under supervision, responsible for editing textbooks for the primary and secondary Arab world schools markets
  • Copy-editing and proofreading manuscripts and revising texts in accordance with specific guidelines
  • Liaising with designers and colleagues in production
  • Attending and contributing to meetings with internal colleagues and with external clients

Experience / skills required:

  • A good degree in English or Modern Languages from a UK university is essential
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • First-class verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Willingness to relocate essential
