Publicist, Bluebird

Pan Macmillan UK is one of the largest general book publishers in the UK, with imprints including Macmillan, Mantle, Pan, Picador, Boxtree, Sidgwick & Jackson, Bluebird, Bello, Tor, Kingfisher, Macmillan Children's Books, Campbell Books, Macmillan New Writing and Macmillan Digital Audio.

Pan Macmillan is looking for a confident, skilled, self-motivated and highly-organized publicist to lead on PR campaigns for its exciting new healthy lifestyle imprint, Bluebird. If you want to work on a dynamic and growing list that already includes authors ranging from Instagram sensation Joe Wicks to Pope Francis, this is the role for you.

The position will involve –

• Devising, planning and overseeing trade and consumer PR campaigns and tours for individual Bluebird titles across all media platforms
• Maintaining and building relationships with a broad range of media contacts, journalists, bloggers and retailers in order to maximize PR opportunities and sales
• Working closely with the Bluebird Communications Manager to create joined-up and innovative marketing and publicity campaigns, and deliver the communications strategy for the Bluebird imprint
• A strong understanding of the growing health and well-being market, and a personal interest in the areas that Bluebird publishes into

This is a key role within our organization and as such we are looking for someone who has at least two years of experience in the publicity department of a Publishing Company. You must be able to work autonomously and be good at prioritizing work under pressure. 

This role is based in our London office.
