Key Account Director

A highly successful medical publisher is looking for an ambitious, driven Key Account Director to manage the key accounts and maintain long term relationships, whilst maximising sales revenue and opportunities. This is a new role with high levels of responsibility and the opportunity to develop and grow within a successful team. This role will work on a remote basis for the foreseeable future due to Covid restrictions, but the office is London based.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for developing and achieving sales through the direct sales channel
  • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business
  • Writing business plans for all current and opportunity tender business
  • Work closely with other members of the senior team on client initiatives
  • Analyse data and sales statistics and improve business and marketing strategies
  • Provide detailed insight and analysis on future projects and a forecast of revenue for the year ahead
  • Liaise with clients at a senior level on a daily basis
  • Developing a thorough understanding of key clients’ needs and requirements and preparing customised solutions

This is a critical new role for the team and the successful person will be educated to degree level have a proven background in B2B/medical publishing or a healthcare /pharma sales/account management background. You will have industry knowledge with demonstrable experience in Account Management and relationship building as well as managing major accounts at Head Office level. You will be an ambitious and highly motivated individual who is target and goal driven, with high attention to detail and a quick thinking, positive and persuasive approach.
