Key Account Manager (Bargain Books) 6-month contract

Our client, a successful mass market trade childrens publisher are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to manage their established and growing Bargain key accounts on a full-time basis for a 6-month contract period.

You'll be selling a wide range of commercial and leading bestselling childrens trade books and brands. You’ll be based in London and report to the UK Sales Director.

Your role also includes analysing account activity, forecasting sales, business reports and competitor activity, developing knowledge of the list and new business development where possible.   

As Key Account Manager, you’ll also have the opportunity to build print runs and create a range of individual bespoke books for the Key Accounts you handle. Your accounts will include the long established and growing accounts including; The Works, 66 Books, PR Books, Aldi and other similar non-traditional related bargain key accounts.

You'll need specific previous experience in KAM sales within the bargain trade, esp The Works, and if you also have experience with other related non-traditional bargain sales accounts, it would be useful too.

This role would suit experienced mass market sales manager / KAM candidates who can start immediately, or within one month.

The Key Account Manager will be part of a successful UK sales team, and have the opportunity to work the odd day from home as your work around your key accounts dictates, so you'll need to be self-sufficient, a self-starter and a well organised sales manager.
